MINGLING MEDIA
Mingling Media was created by Michel Bayan in early 2008. After owning a web design company and producing film for over 3 years, Michel saw the merging paths of the internet and entertainment industries. He decided to take these two once separate ventures and “mingle” them as one new company. Since then Mingling Media has been developing and producing websites, internet series and film projects. Its first film, “Help Wanted” was part of a 7 day film Challenge at the 2008 Elevate Film Festival which took place at the new 7000 seat Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles. “Help Wanted” won 3 awards at the festival: Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Narrative Film in October, 2008.
MICHEL BAYAN:
Management/Marketing/Sales/Customer Relations/Independent Film Promotion
The leader of this team of media professionals, Michel has been mingling creativity and technology since childhood. Exposed to both worlds growing up, he remains inspired by both.
Living in Los Angeles since 1999, Michel began his time in L.A. as an actor, moving in to film production in 2005. In 2007 his first feature film, “One Day Like Rain” was completed and nominated for the jury prize at the Seattle Intl. Film Festival (the largest fest in the US) thanks to the success of his low budget marketing and promotion plan. After this success Michel was asked to write on indie film marketing for the festival. “ODLR” is on the International festival circuit and continues to garner acclaim. Michel was also owner of a computer services and web design company for 3 years. One day in early 2008, he had an epiphany: The future of creativity is based on technology. Why not take those two worlds and bring them together? And thus, Mingling Media was born. Since its inception in March of 2008, Mingling Media has produced several websites, videos, and the short film “Help Wanted” for the 2008 Elevate Film Festival where it won 3 top awards: Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Narrative Film. He is currently developing several websites, 3 web-based series, and various feature film projects in different stages of funding and development.
In his personal life Michel is an avid world traveler and Sunday yoga teacher.

JAMIE BULLOCK:
Head of Production
Originally from the beautiful state of North Carolina, Jamie came to Los Angeles to find her niche in the exciting and rewarding industry of entertainment. She began by getting her feet wet in various management positions. These positions included serving as Promotions Coordinator for Universal Studios and Community Relations Director on the executive staff of Circle X, a non-profit theatre organization. She realized that life on set was calling her and had the blessing of working with TV’s best cast and crew on Fox’s “Arrested Development.” She furthered her production experience as a freelance Producer and has helped produce documentaries, television shows, web content, music video’s and commercials for Dark Light Pictures, Detour Films, New Wave Entertainment, Hypomania Content, 31 Street Productions and Moon Star and Son, Inc. In 2004 Jamie launched her own Production Company and their first feature was picked up for distribution and released theatrically in October of 2007. It is now available on DVD and in development with FOX to become a TV series. She also gained valuable marketing and new media experience while serving as Head of Online Marketing at the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2007. Recently, the short film she helped Produce in 7 days, with the fantastic Michel Bayan, “Help Wanted”, picked up 3 of the top honors at the Elevate Film Festival. Her most rewarding project to date, however, has been segment producing for Stand Up To Cancer, a benefit lead by the astounding Laura Ziskin, that was held at the Kodak Theatre on September 5, 2008 to unite the fight against cancer. Jamie feels blessed to have been asked to come on, as Head of Production, at Mingling Media. She believes that the innovation behind the company, and the kind of services it offers is needed during this time of change in the industry. She is very excited to work along side the creative and immensely positive force that is Michel Bayan and sees amazing opportunities on the horizon.
