This little film has quite an amazing story and is really a  keystone in the history of Mingling Media.

Made for the 2008 Elevate Film Festival, Help Wanted was written 2 days before it was shot and was filmed and completed in only seven days.   A week later it premiered for an audience of 6000+ at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and won the festival’s top three awards:  Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Narrative Film.

It has gone on to several other festivals and recently won the Jury prize for Best Actor at the Tri Media film festival, thanks to the heart warming performance of Javier Ronceros as Ramon.

Help Wanted (Trailer)

SYNOPSIS

Loss of traction.  It happens to the best of us.  We start taking for granted the bounty of our own lives, and soon we find ourselves coasting, blind to the joys all around us.  So it is with Ramon, the hard-working immigrant mechanic at the heart of HELP WANTED.  With no options, he hires an inexperienced young stranger, Juan, whose own tragedy, and powerful way of coping with loss, teaches Ramon to look at his own life with new eyes.
